چکیده
Epidemic processes on random graphs or networks are marked by localization of activity that can trap the dynamics into a metastable state, confined to subextensive part network, before visiting an absorbing configuration. Quasistationary (QS) method is technique deal with states for finite sizes and has played central role in investigation epidemic heterogeneous where hallmark. The standard QS possesses high computer algorithmic complexity large systems besides parameters whose choice not systematic. However, simpler approaches, such as reflecting boundary condition (RBC), able capture effects does. In present work, we propose consists reactivating nodes proportionally time they were active along preceding simulation. compared RBC methods susceptible-infected-susceptible model complex networks, which prototype dynamic process strong effects. We verify performs well all investigated simulations, providing same scaling exponents, thresholds, localized phases, thus overcoming limitations other approaches. also report significant lower than method. So, this arises efficient tool analyze structures through simulations.

Stein's Method for Epidemic Processes
A General Stochastic Epidemic with non-Markovian transition behaviour is considered. At time t = 0, the population of total size K consists of aK individuals that are infected by a certain disease (and infectious); the remaining bK individuals are susceptible with respect to that disease. An initially susceptible individual i, when infected (call A K i its time of infection), stays infectious f...
متن کاملConditions for predicting quasistationary states by rearrangement formula.
Predicting the long-lasting quasistationary state for a given initial state is one of central issues in Hamiltonian systems having long-range interaction. A recently proposed method is based on the Vlasov description and uniformly redistributes the initial distribution along contours of the asymptotic effective Hamiltonian, which is defined by the obtained quasistationary state and is determine...
متن کاملEpidemic processes with immunization.
We study a model of directed percolation (DP) with immunization, i.e., with different probabilities for the first infection and subsequent infections. The immunization effect leads to an additional non-Markovian term in the corresponding field theoretical action. We consider immunization as a small perturbation around the DP fixed point in d<6, where the non-Markovian term is relevant. The immu...
متن کاملQuasistationary simulations of the contact process on quenched networks.
We present high-accuracy quasistationary (QS) simulations of the contact process in quenched networks, built using the configuration model with both structural and natural cutoffs. The critical behavior is analyzed in the framework of the anomalous finite-size scaling which was recently shown to hold for the contact process on annealed networks. It turns out that the quenched topology does not ...
